Boy, hard to say on the Liddell vs. Franklin. Both have had some recent losses. I've read a lot around on the internet, and people are saying Franklin will KO chuck. Personally, I like both fighters, but the way Chuck has looked in the last few fights, I'd have to say Franklin will win by decision (because I can't see him KO-ing Chuck).

Isn't this Cro Cops potential last fight in the UFC? Hopefully he wins, and sticks around.. I think Dana was hoping for more fireworks from him to be a $$ maker, but it just didn't work out to his advantage. I hope he wins though.

Mac is my dude, but he's had some losses since coming off the Ultimate Fighter win.. I still root for him every time.

Agree on Thiago, and the rest.. No comment, I'll have to watch and see what happens.

Great blog by the way, I hope more papers start writing about MMA.. it is the fastest growing sport in America right now!! Keep up the good work Dave!!

Thank you for the comments Rob. Chuck looks to be in awesome shape. I don't think I have ever seen him looking the way he does now. Doesn't look like he is 40 years old. I've been a fan of both of a long time and am pumped about this fight. I just think Chuck has more ways to win and should be to finish it by the end of three rounds. A knockout victory for Liddell would be great.

Cro Cop has surely seen better days. He looked solid in his last fight. I just think the UFC ended up being a lot tougher than his imagined. He was a kickboxer first, then went to fight in Pride FC (which was fought in a ring) and then went to the Octagon. A lot of the former Pride fighter's just haven't transferred well while other's have done fairly decent. I think Anderson Silva and Shogun have done the best. Silva being #1.

That said, Mirko is still a dangerous opponent for anyone. Barry and he almost fight the same so this bout should be fireworks. I have to go with the more experienced Fighter and that is Mirko Cro Cop. The best thing about this sport is anything can and usually does happen.

If Mac loses, he could be the first TUF Champ bounced from the UFC. He has moved back to LA this year and should benifit from being back around his old group of training partners. I like his attitude towards a lot of things and that is way I root for him. He has to improve on his takedown defense and hopefully has addressed that need during this camp. I have Danzig winning via submission.

Watch out for Paulo Thiago...if he wins impressively. He could a win or two away from a Welterweight title shot.

I'm looking forward to the return's of Yvel, Condit, Loiseau and Wilks. Also, look out for Canadian Claude Patrick who is making his UFC debut. I'm hearing a lot of good things about that guys power. This event is going to be a burn burner and I can't wait til' Saturday night.
