Michigan Combat Leauge: Round 3 Results

Submission’s Seize the Day at Michigan Combat League: Round 3

South Rockwood’s Dom Sindone put on another great show at MCL’s Round 3 event in Melvindale on Saturday night. Sindone defeated Toledo’s Ronnie Galphal in the first round of their Bantamweight Super Fight Championship after a thrilling contest. Galphal was able to get a few shots in after being taken down by Sindone a few times. But, “The Dominator” quickly turned it on after being tested in the stand up game as he scored a knockdown with a swift left hand. Sindone got Galphal’s back after he hit the mat and wrapped up the fight ending rear naked choke. Sindone’s record now stands at an impressive 17-3-0 with 8 victories by way of submission and 4 knockouts.

In other action, Monroe’s Dylan Fanslaw defeated Mike Sindone and retained his Flyweight Title after getting his own submission victory. Afterwards, the elder Sindone challenged Fanslaw to a much anticipated bout that many, many MCL fans would like to see.

Carleton’s Tyler Pitock shined while adding another submission victory to his resume while defeating Dearborn’s Ali Amine. Monroe’s John Slayton defeated Warren’s Keith Lynch in short order as both decided to throw fire on the feet to begin. Slayton scored a takedown during the exchange then quickly moved to side control and wrapped up an arm triangle submission victory.

Tommy McGarey won the MCL Lightweight Title after putting on a excellent show. McGarey defeated Carleton’s Justin Hall by rear naked choke just short of the minute mark after pulling guard and swiftly reversing his opponent into his trap.

Promoter Jake Short has set the next Michigan Combat League event for Saturday August 20th.
